Engage Precision steel targets are made of high quality AR500 & AR400 rated steel. The AR500 rifle targets come in either 3/8” or 1/2” thicknesses, and The AR400 rimfire targets are 1/4" thick. All of the targets are properly cut with a laser to preserve strength on the edges and are cut with holes for 9/16" or 1/2" carriage or standard bolts. We have a wide range of targets available in many different shapes & sizes, along with reactive targets and many convenient target stand solutions.
Steel targets are long lasting, fun targets to shoot, but be sure to follow all firearm safety rules when shooting them. Be aware ricochets may happen, and be sure you are far enough away from the target with appropriate personal protective equipment on at all times.

Handgun & Rimfire Cartridges:
Both 1/2” and 3/8” AR500 steel targets are rated for all standard centerfire handgun cartridges and all rimfire cartridges. Must be shot at a minimum distance of 15 yards for safety. Magnum handgun cartridges must be shot at a minimum distance of 20 yards.
Centerfire Rifle Cartridges:
3/8” - Must be shot at a minimum distance of 100 yards. Cartridges with a 100 yard impact velocity of over 3000fps must be shot at 200+ yards. Heavy magnum cartridges are required to be shot at 200+ yards. Most common target thickness, loudest ring at distance.
1/2” - Must be shot at a minimum distance of 100 yards. Cartridges with a 100 yard impact velocity of over 3000fps must be shot at 200+ yards. Heavy magnum cartridges can be shot at 100 yards if impact velocity is below 3000fps. Thicker target lasts longer and reduces chance of bending over time.
1/4" AR400 steel targets are rated for all standard rimfire cartridges and all standard centerfire handgun cartridges up to, and including 9mm Luger and 45 ACP. Must be shot at a minimum distance of 15 yards for safety. 1/4" AR400 steel targets are not rated for centerfire rifle cartridges or magnum handgun cartridges at any distance.
Engage Precision targets are not rated to withstand steel core, bi-metal, armor piercing, solid brass/copper or any other bullet than copper plated or pure lead. Proper placement and distance of target from shooter is crucial to safety. All distances listed are recommendations only. For best ricochet control and target life, you must allow the target to swing freely.
